Today felt like the first day of school. I started my new Fall teaching schedule and started at two new studios. Over the last few weeks I have become part of some wonderful new studios - most of which are local which is AMAZING. One is 12 minutes from my apartment the other is 8. 8 MINUTES! It doesn't get any better than that! Well, actually it is, because these new studios are awesome. And I am so excited to become part of their community.
As these classes began, I ended my class at YogaWorks, so in total I taught 4 class today. And let me tell you, 4 class is A LOT. I was basically gone from 8:30am until 9:00pm with the exception of an hour or so for meal breaks in between classes. I think I did low lunge about 12 times today, I seriously need to minimize the demos, and I'm pretty sure I'm going to wake up tomorrow unable to move.
But...The more I teach the better I feel. I honestly can't think of a thing in my life that has felt more right, more connected, more purposeful, and in-line with who I am and what I believe than teaching yoga. And without sounding high and mighty, I honestly believe this is what I was born to do. I could not imagine a more challenging, more fulfilling, more meaningful career than this. This is my work. It's a pretty damn good thing I feel this way because I currently don't make enough money to live without the support of my wonderful fiance. This fills me with both gratitude and guilt, mind you. But I'm making my way and the future is looking very bright.
Speaking of the future. I get married in T minus 40 days! All I eat is vegetables and grilled chicken. Bye bye carbs. I found the secret to getting skinny - eat less, eat healthy, move your body. And it's pretty much a sure thing. I had my dress fitting on Saturday and let me tell you, I'm not sure my body is worthy of the dress - the dress is THAT beautiful. Actually the dress has some magical powers (probably hidden deep within its corset) that make me like more womanly and thin that I actually am. It's basically the best dress ever. And I CANNOT WAIT TO WEAR IT. Mostly, I am excited for Nate to see the dress. I think that's what I'm most excited about. Next would have to be the giant dance party with all our friends at the end of the reception, and third would be the fact that we are going on vacation for more than 3 days for the first time in our lives together. I already bought a honeymoon dress. It's blue with orange coral - perfect for Hawaii.
And now, it's time to sleep. :)
