Everything's Bigger in Texas (Including this blog post!)

I am in El Paso Texas.
Land of tamales for breakfast, sopapias, and the best (spiciest!) mexican food in the US of A.
I've been here for about a week visiting grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.

My little cuz Dante is the cutest happiest little man I have ever met!

I've had the pleasure of rooming with him for the past week, and each and every morning he wakes me up bright and early singing. Yes. Baby singing. If you've never experienced this, I seriously suggest you find a happy baby quick and let yourself be serendaded by their beautiful babbles!

In addition to hanging out with the little man, I've gotten to experience all El Paso has to offer.
To start the week we went to the world greatest Mexican restaurant, Avila's.
With the world's greatest dessert SOPAPIAS!

They are little fried puffs.
Some are covered in cinnamon and sugar.
And some are plain but dipped in honey.
Both are to die for!

Here's my cousins, my aunt and I on New Years Eve.

I've also gotten a good taste of the country...literally!
We went to this world-famous steakhouse called CattleMan's Steakhouse.
Its a giant ranch in the middle of no where.
The steaks range from the Lady's Filet to the Cowboy- a 2 POUND steak!
I ordered steak and literally cut it with my fork it was so tender and delicious!

The sour cream and butter scoops were GIANT!

Outside of the restaurant are hundreds of animals on the ranch.

The peacocks were beautiful.  And the billy goats had CREEPY eyes! Bahhh!

I've also learned that I am very much a city-girl.  But I do find the country life pretty fascinating!
I learned this after going to a cattle-roping competition, and visiting my uncle's farm.
(I even rode a horse!)

These are steers.

Horses.

And Willy!

Basically Texas has been quite the experience!
I have loved it!
