We saved the best for last. Paris was a blur of macarons, pastries, and so many eggs. We must have walked 20 miles in the three or so days we spent there. I realized my home design style is oh so parisian when I fell in love with every building, antique scroll detail, and richly coloured door. And don't even get me started on the kitchens and patisseries - white marble countertops and heavy copper pots are what kitchen dreams are made of.
It rained a bit and walking the streets with umbrellas and bellies full of macarons was dreamy. It's such a lovely city that could take years to fully explore. We spent our final day wandering from patisserie to patisserie trying every flavor of macaron we could get our hands on. This city inspired me more than any other we visited.
